my creations :)
| next week, simon is turning (terrible) two, but we had a party last saturday with other friends for a grand celebration. click here for photos of the octuple birthday celebration. i happily made cakes for the two little celebrants who both celebrated their 2nd birthday. i also threw in some cupcakes. it was a lot of work for a day, but i'm loving it! :) and since i keep missing opportunities in paid blogging, i'll just have to earn the hard way :p ... here are my creations... will these layouts do for a flyer? i also got to practice my photoshop skills (he-he-he). i'm still waiting for my tools, which explains why the decors are quite the same... hopefully they arrive soon so i won't have any more excuse! :p yes, this one below is from the last entry :)  my sinful chocolate cakes... :) the new batch: i'm really enjoying doing this craft! :)Labels: birthdays, friends, in the kitchen, party, sideline, simon |

my 14-month old
simon is turning 14 months two days from now, and proud mums like moi would only boast of the tiny things they can do right now. so even if he's still not walking on his own (oh, he does two steps - max. and then he goes down on all fours and crawls like he's in a race. he is very impatient with mastering walking on his own).... he can clap now! we say "bravo", he'll say "javo". he waves bye-bye and try to immitate what we say by saying "lalalalalala....". then he can do hi-fives! (and low-fives, too!) and finally, he knows how to kiss now! he sometimes kiss with smooch sound, or with just an open-mouth and making sure it lands on your lips, or with a tight tuck landing on your cheeks. moments like these feels like heaven! i haven't documented (i.e. took photos or videos) these moments yet, as if feels difficult to do it by myself, but hopefully soon - before he gets tired of it!.  |

the first cut
today Simon recieved his first taste of the blade... i trimmed his not-so-thick hair so he can sport a clean-cut. i didn't plan on doing it today, but i suddenly had the urge to take the scissors and give him the cuts. it wasn't easy, because he kept looking at me while i was doing my thing, he kept looking up, wondering what the heck i was doing to his hair and what were those itchy little things falling down his face. good thing he had thin hair so we were done fairly quickly... but it was still a challenge since the venue was the bath tub and he was standing up, i should have done it in his chair so he'd stay a little bit still... well, next time! :) here's his before and after shots. more pics here. |

the birthday pics
| i just realized i haven't posted simon's birthday photos here yet. we really had a grand time during that day, everything was good. we had answered prayers of good weather, expected guests turned up and everyone was in good spirits and it was a real fun party! what makes it more fulfilling was the fact that i was very hands on here, from the invitations, decors, food, banner and props. but we did order two dishes and the cake was a gift. but overall, it was really good we were helped by good friends :). so here are the photos, in case you haven't checked-out our multiply site yet. enjoy! |
