|i've dared to try the next level of cakes decorating that is fondant. here is my very first creation, for a friend's daughter's 1st birthday. she didn't have any theme or design request so it's all me, i hope they like it! :)|
this is definitely a first for me, no practice at all... well, if you think making a plane, train, truck, bike and bus with playdough counts, then i did have a little bit of warm-up the day before :).
the fondant i made a few days before, since i wasn't very confident about it and was open to re-doing it again in case it didn't work. but thankfully, it was perfect! especially for a beginner :)
i did pray a lot before starting making the fondant and the cake so that's my secret weapon! :)
and i have to admit... i can't stop staring at the cake! so, today i'm immortalizing my creation just before it gets eaten at the party later. :p
