'tis the time of the year...
... if you didn't know the date, you'd think we're in the middle of the winter season here as snowstorms usher in swiss spring. i've uploaded a video of the snowfall the other day - sorry, but i just got excited . but it doesn't get exciting at all when the heating system dries your skin, it gets really itchy, you know! . but the good news is, forecast states that early next week, spring will really be here, officially and, hopefully, physically. i feel sad for the animals whose body clocks got mixed-up because of the warmest winter weather since temperature were officially measure. and there's no sign it will get better... i guess it's hight time we do our share of being environmentally conscious to at least slow down global warming.

    the Lord's prayer

    THE LORD'S PRAYER

Rather cleverly done in two parts:

The prayer (in blue type) and GOD (in red type) in response.

    ++++++++++++

Our Father Who Art In Heaven.
    Yes?
    Don't interrupt me. I'm praying.
    But -- you called ME!
    Called you?
    No, I didn't call you.
    I'm praying.
Our Father who art in Heaven.
There -- you did it again!
    Did what?
    Called ME.
    You said,
"Our Father who art in Heaven"
    Well, here I am.
    What's on your mind?

But I didn't mean anything by it.
I was, you know, just saying my prayers for the day.
I always say the Lord's Prayer.
    It makes me feel good,
kind of like fulfilling a duty.
    Well, all right.
    Go on.
Okay, Hallowed be thy name .
    Hold it right there.
What do you mean by that?
    By what?
    By "Hallowed be thy name"?
It means, it means . . good grief,
I don't know what it means.
How in the world should I know?
It's just a part of the prayer.
By t he way, what does it mean?
    It means honored, holy, wonderful.
    Hey, that makes sense.
I never thought about what 'hallowed' meant before.
    Thanks.
    Thy Kingdom come,
    Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
    Do you really mean that?
    Sure, why not?
What are you doing about it?
    Doing? Why, nothing, I guess.
I just think it would be kind of neat if you got control,
of everything down here like you have up there.
We're kinda in a mess down here you know.
    Yes, I know;
but, have I got control of you?
    Well, I go to church.
That isn't what I asked you.
    What about your bad temper?
You've really got a problem there, you know.
And then there's the way you spend your money --
    all on yourself.
And what about the kind of books you read?
    Now hold o n just a minute!
    Stop picking on me!
I'm just as good as some of the rest of those people at church!
    Excuse ME.
    I thought you were praying
for my will to be done.
    If that is to happen,
it will have to start with the ones
    who are praying for it.
    Like you -- for example.
Oh, all right. I guess I do have some hang-ups.
    Now that you mention it,
I could probably name some others.
    So could I.
I haven't thought about it very much until now,
but I really would like to cut out some of those things.
I would like to, you know, be really free.
    Good.
    Now we're getting somewhere.

We'll work together -- You and ME..
    I'm proud of You.
Look, Lord, if you don't mind,
I need to finish up here.
This is taking a lot longer than it usually does.
Give us this day, our daily bread.
You need to cut out the bread.
    You're overweight as it is.
Hey, wait a minute! What is this?
Here I was doing my religious duty,
and all of a sudden you break in
and remind me of all my hang-ups.
    Praying is a dangerous thing.
You just might get what you ask for.
    Remember,
you called ME -- and here I am.
It's too late to stop now.
    Keep praying. ( . . pause . . )
    Well, go on.
    I'm scared to...
    Scared? Of what?
    I know what you'll say.
    Try ME.
Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.
    What about Ann?
    See? I knew it!
I knew you would bring her up!
Why, Lord, she's told lies about me, spread stories.
She never paid back the money she owes me.
I've sworn to get even with her!
    But -- your prayer --
    What about your prayer?
    I didn't -- mean it.
    Well, at least you're honest.
But, it's quite a load carrying around all that bitterness
    and resentment isn't it?
Yes, but I'll feel better as soon as I get even with her.
Boy, have I got some plans for her.
She'll wish she had never been born.
No, you won't feel any better.
    You'll feel worse.
    Revenge isn't sweet.
You know how unhappy you are --
    Well, I can change that.
    You can? How?
    Forgive Ann.
    Then, I'll forgive you;
And the hate and the sin,
will be Ann's problem -- not yours.
You will have settled the problem
as far as you are concerned.
    Oh, you know, you're right.
    You always are.
And more than I want revenge,
I want to be right with You . . (sigh).
    All right . all right . .
    I forgive her.
    There now!
    Wonderful!
    How do you feel?
    Hmmmm. Well, not bad.
    Not bad at all!
In fact, I feel pretty great!
You know, I don't think I'll go to bed uptight tonight.
I haven't been getting much rest, you know.
    Yeah, I know.
But, you're not through with your prayer are you? Go on.
    Oh, all right.
And lead us not into temptation,
    but deliver us from evil.
    Good! Good! I'll do that.
Just don't put yourself in a place
    where you can be tempted.
What do you mean by that?
    You know what I mean.
    Yeah. I know..
    Okay.
    Go ahead. Finish your prayer.
    For Thine is the kingdom,
    and the power,
    and the glory forever.
    Amen.
Do you know what would bring me glory --
What would really make me happy?
No, but I'd like to know.
I want to please you now.
I've really made a mess of things.
I want to truly follow you.
I can see now how great that would be.
    So, tell me . . .
How do I make you happy?

    YOU just did.

    what's up?
it's been 3 weeks now since we came back from our pinas trip but i still can't get myself to update our site. well, i'm taking this time to, hopefully, do that. :) what's keeping me busy since? here's a rundown:

    - SA is teething. two of his lower front incisors have now appeared. he didn't really get sick while teething, well, he did have a runny nose, some coughs and soft, even watery at a time, stool but he didn't have the fever, so i guess it could have been worse. so, we will now be missing that toothless grin of his very round face :)

    - FL started with his new garderie. before we left for PH, we received a call from the garderie of our choice - background: i registered FL in the garderie and was wait listed since April 2006. so, that's about 9 months of waiting! i wasn't very excited because this one costs much more than his first garderie. but i noticed FL wasn't very excited in tom pouce (the name of the garderie) as before. he didn't want to go there anymore, maybe he got bored? you see, tom pouce is more of an art workshop, they were taught to draw, sing, paint, etc. but they admit kids from 2.5 yrs to 4 yrs old and they only have one class for the whole age-range - and most of them are younger than he is. so, maybe he got bored with his "classmates" and it was just a matter of time before he decided he wanted out :). while les cedres (his new garderie), i preferred because the kids were more his age, it is literally just around the corner, it seems more organized, the teacher speaks some english, and the hours are a bit longer. in his first day, i had to stay with him for an hour for him to gradually adapt. the second day, i had to leave him and then come back to for him after an hour - again to help him adapt... but i never really had much of a problem with regards to his separation anxiety, he was happy to see new faces. when i picked him up his second day, the teacher reported he sort-of taught the other kids colors in english... hmm... my other objective was to make sure he learns french, i do hope he does. so tomorrow, his 3rd day, will basically be a normal "school day" for him as i leave him for about 3 hrs there. i hope he will enjoy and learn a lot and prepare him for proper school, more probably next year since he's birthday is after their cut-off.

    - i started french language lessons again! this time at the comfort of our home. :) i didn't enrol to the next term since i started because i wasn't excited anymore. so i decided to look for a teacher who'll teach me at home, at the pace of my development so it's more intensive and more focused. i am still having a hard time, though :)

    - hubby's busy with the music ministry. sundays, is another SAHM day for me as dh serves as a singer and guitarist at our community's CLP, last day will be next week, so we will hopefully have sunday afternoons for the whole family again.

    - i've been busy preparing our trip to paris! yipeee!!! :) the trip which was supposed to have happened last year will happen this year, on my birthday week. last year, i was ordered by my OB to rest as much as possible, hence the cancelled trip. but this time, we've booked the train and half of the accommodation (yes, i still need to do a research for accommodation for another leg of the trip). we're a bit unsure about the train trip, but most of the people i've asked recommended that than taking the car, so i guess that's the better choice :). hopefully, everything will work out well and we'll be posting tons more pics here. :)

    - dear sister and her family will be coming over - next week. they'll visit us and of course see as much as they can of switzerland during their short stay, too bad we can't really join them on weekdays, as dh can't go on leave yet again and it's out of the question for me to bring the two kids along. it would be much trouble for them, and more-so for me if we did that.

so, that's what's up and running... i hope to keep things up to date again soon... as soon as i get to book the accommodation and whatever else. until then, i wish you all "bonne journee!" =)

    ... and we're back

it's back to reality for us. we got back in the not-as-cold-as-should be alps last monday, almost midnight. we were kindly picked-up by pareng R from the airport, as we left the car with them when we left 3 weeks ago.

it was out best vacation so far! to think we had two little boys in tow now, we enjoyed this holiday more than we did our last ones when FL was as tiny as SA now. our flight leaving switz was relatively easy, FL was very good - he got bored, yes, but he didn't have tantrums and he listened and obeyed. he did enjoy sitting by the window with his own lcd screen where he can watch disney's cars as many times as he wants to. he ate a lot in the plane - food, of course! :p

while little SA had a bit of a hard time getting his sleep and we barely slept, as well, we were quite still in high spirits. i mean, we expected worse. it was really a challenge for him not to sleep in his own sturdy crib, plus the fact that he barely gets to sleep on someone's arm. the poor angel really had a tough time on the trip but he was still a good baby, as much as he can help it!

we had an activity filled holiday, before we left, we made sure we had a schedule to follow, allow free days, as well and made sure we had a few days specifically dedicated for a holiday - and that was in bohol. we made sure we got together with as many relatives and friends as possible - which we did, but some of the those GT's were quite short, but we were still glad we squeezed in as much as possible. it was great catching up friends again!

so, even if we got sick - the boys got sore eyes, we all had coughs and colds. we had a really fun stay. we are now so looking forward for our december return... this time, my brother will have their church wedding. it's so nice to attend weddings - feels good to be made-up and dress-up again! :)

to sum our trip, we had a 5-day beach holiday, 2 weddings in the family (a church and a civil one), get-togethers with friends, a family reunion, a pamamanhikan, food tripping in many restaurants, shopping in divisoria, baclaran and malls and lots and lots of fun with cousins for FL & SA. now that's worth all the 17-hr trip for a 3-week stay! :)
