pogi...
... na ako! heheheh... ![]() i suddenly had the urge to have a haircut yesterday... and it had to be yesterday! so, without any appointment and without knowing that most of the salons here are closed on mondays, i went out to the nearest salons and three of which were closed! so i went across the road to the commercial centre and had my hair done there... the boys were with me, by the way! so it wasn't a very relaxing visit, good thing the hairdresser was accommodating and it was when we were finishing up that simon got a bit cranky and it was because he was already sleepy - and he doesn't just go to sleep when sleepy while out of the house. what did the trick were the gummy candies, cereals and smarties... kept them busy for a good hour! i also packed a bag of toys... anything to get that haircut i couldn't wait to have done. ![]() i was tempted to get the katie holmes 'do, but i chickened-out! i don't think i can maintain the bangs and i thought i'd look trying hard and pa-cute! so, i got this instead... bagay ba? ... and hubby said he's got a new wife, because i haven't had above the shoulder hair since 1999, i think! ![]() Labels: ala lang, at home, mom et dad, swiss life |

gate crashers
| have you ever gate crashed a party? well, we haven't as well but we sure felt like we did last saturday! :p here's the story: friday night, when hubby was on his way home, he met A - one of our fellow pinoys here, on the street. A mentioned that tomorrow (saturday) is the despedida get-together for mr. E since he will be going back to the philippines after several months of stay here. he said it's at 7p.m. at another pinoy's home. we didn't receive any email or other communication regarding this, so when hubby told me about this, i asked him if he was sure we were invited... and he said, yes, why would we not be invited? (sya nga naman, ano?) - or so we thought! that saturday was a busy day for us since we had an all day long activity in a place 30 minutes from ours & the despidida venue so i didn't think much of it. plus it was the usual potluck dinner, i didn't prepare any, i had no time - we were told friday evening and it was going to be the next day! anyhoooo, the all-day long activity we had wrapped up at about 6:45 p.m. but the hosts invited us to stay for dinner, i was thinking of dinner already when hubs reminded me of the despedida. i said we're late already and he said, everybody comes in late anyway - no offense, but i guess it's just habit :p. so we told the hosts that we've decided to go to the despedida since we think it's the right thing to do. we would want many people wishing us farewell, if it was us! but we were still having second thoughts, so i called L to check if the get-together was indeed today and if they were already there, and i told her we didn't bring anything since we were not ready... and she said that yes, it was today and that they were just on their way. so we proceeded. on our way, we got lost! ;p we turned in the wrong corner so we basically used up an extra 15 minutes before we finally got to the place. outside, we heard the noise and saw the people walking about in the house and i said, looks like they've already started (of course!). so we buzzed, the host opened the door for us, and when we got in, we really felt like we were gate crashing! it was a small gathering, just a few people... and looks like it was entirely for the pinoy group of that department plus close friends. they were already having their appetizer (california roll, i think), everyone was already on the long table, and there were no extra chairs... so sorry for N & Q, because they had to give up their seats for us! we were not at all expected but what can we do? we're already there, so we just made ourselves comfy and had our appetizer, as well. we just ate the night away and pretended we were really expected :p whew, that was quite an experience... i told hubby, next time, when we are not in the mail list, we're not invited, ok? :) but in all fairness, we were very much welcomed by the party. we did enjoy the food and the company! hubs had to sing the night away... to cover the embarassment! hehehehehe.... hopefully, we won't be having these incidents again, it is really embarassing! :) Labels: bloopers, mom et dad, swiss life |
