christmas dishes
i prepared beef embutido, steamed fish with mayo, lechon kawali and almond lychee for dessert in the christmas get-together we went to. here are the pics of the fish and lechon, the other dishes are in this album. :) enjoy! steamed trout with mayo - my first attemp, i could not remember how to arrange the sliced eggs on the fish. i'm doing the dish again tomorrow and hopefully it will look a lot nicer. but mind you, it tastes really great! ;)  the lechon kawali, i just added an over the counter sauce to top it off... another big hit!my friend's husband actually asked her to cook the dish again a few days after :) ahhh... christmas is just so delicious! :) |

back to basics
| after almost 3 weeks of looking, we finally found dining chairs to (hopefully) match our new table :). we've decided that, before we leave for the swiss alps, to buy and bring as much as we can since the company will be paying for the freight and all. we wanted to buy new leather reclining lounge set, but decided otherwise since we noticed that a few of those on display gets faulty (the mechanism). if we bought one and it broke down, we won't have anyone to chase. so i just decided on getting a rocking chair, in time for when the new baby comes out. hope we can get one this weekend :) |
