the next level :)
i've dared to try the next level of cakes decorating that is fondant. here is my very first creation, for a friend's daughter's 1st birthday. she didn't have any theme or design request so it's all me, i hope they like it! :) this is definitely a first for me, no practice at all... well, if you think making a plane, train, truck, bike and bus with playdough counts, then i did have a little bit of warm-up the day before :). the fondant i made a few days before, since i wasn't very confident about it and was open to re-doing it again in case it didn't work. but thankfully, it was perfect! especially for a beginner :) i did pray a lot before starting making the fondant and the cake so that's my secret weapon! :) and i have to admit... i can't stop staring at the cake! so, today i'm immortalizing my creation just before it gets eaten at the party later. :p Labels: at home, in the kitchen, my cakes |

Cardboard Testimonies
Life before and after Christ changed them. *Oh How He Loves us* He is jealous for me Love's like a hurricane, I am a tree Bending beneath the weight of His wind and mercy When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory and I realize just how beautiful You are and how great your affections are for me. Oh, how He loves us so Oh, how He loves us How He loves us so. So we are His portion and He is our prize, Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes If grace is an ocean we're all sinking So heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss And my heart turns violently inside of my chest I don't have time to maintain these regrets when I think about the way That he loves us, Woah, how He loves us Woah, how He loves us Woah, how He loves audio:http://www.fredmckinnon.com/media/how_he_loves_us.mp3 about the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Chx6s3qXKt4&feature=related Labels: inspirational |
Fw: Ironman - the best ever!!!
very touching video... can't help but share it :) A son asked his father, 'Dad, will you take part in a marathon with me?'. The father who, despite having a heart condition, says 'Yes'. They went on to complete the marathon together. Father and son went on to join other marathons, the father always saying 'Yes' to his son's request of going through the race together. One day, the son asked his father, 'Dad, let's join the Ironman together.' To which, his father said 'Yes' too. For those who don't know, Ironman is the toughest triathlon ever. The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile (3.86 kilometer) ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile (180.2 kilometer) bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile 2.195 kilometer) marathon along the coast of the Big Island . Father and son went on to complete the race together. View this race at....... Labels: inspirational |
