    heart rate: 165
just had my 12th week o.b. visit this afternoon, it was a bit scary when it took a while before dr. g got to pick-up our baby's heartbeat. francis saw i was getting nervous when i thought it was already taking a while for the heartbeat to be heard. kuya franco was on my bedside and holding my hand... so cute!

finally, after what felt like 10 minutes of searching, we heard the heartbeats... 165/m, even got up to 172!

here's what they say say about a baby's gender being predicted by the heart rate:

"The myth says that if your baby's heartrate is under 140 beats per minute - you are having a boy. If it is over 140 beats per minute - you are having a girl.
This belief is based on the fact that women usually have higher metabolic rates than men and, therefore, have a slightly higher pulse rate."

...well, we can only wait :)

we're still undecided if we'll go public or private, since we'll most likely (but not entirely sure) to be on the move again, we're taking considerations about the costs. i've already asked for a referral letter from the gp to go public (which took me over an hour's wait! grrr!) so it's all our call now. hope we decide the best thing.

we're praying the rest of the pregnancy will be smooth, and our little angel healthy!
